THE SUMER PROBLEM IN SAMUEL KRAMER’S STUDIES

This scientific work analyzes the contribution of the prominent 20th-century American researcher Samuel Kramer to the study of the history of ancient Sumerians and the development of Sumerology. Being the author of numerous monographs, Samuel Kramer was one of the few scholars who investigated all topics related to ancient Sumerians. The main goal of this research is to provide an objective analysis of all significant works by the author. Structurally, the article consists of an introduction, main body, and conclusion. The introduction discusses the study of Sumerian history and the emergence of Sumerology as a scientific discipline. The main body focuses on Samuel Kramer's research on the history, habitats, culture, inventions of ancient Sumerians, and other related topics. The conclusion highlights the importance of a detailed study of Sumerian history.
