NEW BOUNDARIES OF INTERNATIONAL SECURITY:
CYBER POWER DYNAMICS IN THE DIGITAL AGE
DOI: https://doi.org/10.36719/2708-065X/108/189-197
Digital infrastructure and cyberspace have reshaped international security, introducing new threats, actors, and challenges. This paper examines cyber power’s role in geopolitics, defense, and economic stability, using cases like WannaCry, Stuxnet, and the Colonial Pipeline attack to illustrate the disruptive potential of cyber operations. It also discusses the dual-use nature of AI and quantum technologies in both defensive and offensive strategies, as well as the impact of disinformation campaigns on political stability. In light of increasing cyber conflict complexity, the study calls for robust cybersecurity governance, international regulatory frameworks, and strategic alliances to enhance resilience in the emerging “Digital Cold War.”
